With an aim to further strengthen healthcare facilities, NTPC has undertaken a new initiative by establishing a Palliative Care Centre at NTPC Faridabad. Director (HR) today inaugurated the 10-beded centre at Faridabad in the presence of HoP, Faridabad and senior officials of NTPC. The centre shall be providing nursing services for chronically-ill patients, including PRMS beneficiaries requiring nursing care at home or minimum care at hospital.

While a committee of doctors shall decide on admission and discharge of patients in the palliative care centre, nursing staff and doctors shall be available round-the-clock. The services of physiotherapy, psychological support shall also be extended in course of time. The centre will also provide support to the old age home proposed at Faridabad.
